Joseph Reuter, ISP - 2007 Chair and Dotti Bitner, ISP - 2008 Chair-Elect invite you to attend

TOPIC:

OPSEC FOR CRITICAL DEVELOPMENT PROGRAMS AND NEW PRODUCTS - FSO Actual Experience from the Front Lines
How much money would your company lose if a competitor fielded your idea at the same time, or before you did? Will the NDAs you have in place protect you if your IP gets to an organization with which you have no NDA? Would management care if a competitor learned enough to "ghost" your technical approach in a competitive bid? Would a US patent do you any good if a foreign company began building the same product and selling internationally before you established brand recognition and market penetration? Is your company willing and able to file foreign patents? In every country that may pose a threat?

If any of the above questions hit home, this briefing is for you. You’ll get to see Textron/IST’s hottest new RPG defeat technology in action at the EMRTC test range in Socorro, New Mexico. Dan will then take you through Textron/IST’s process for protecting this technology during its highly critical development phase. Lessons learned from this briefing, if incorporated into your security program, will not only go a long way to protecting the advanced IP of your company, but will elevate the perception of your capabilities within management and technical staff.

SPEAKER:

Daniel Kuljian
FSO - Textron Defense Systems, IST Operations and Chapter NCMS Member, with first-hand experience at thwarting an intelligence threat. Dan is Manager of Operations and Security for Textron Defense Systems, IST Operations, Goleta, CA and has been in defense security since 1985. Prior to his current position, Dan worked for Delco Defense as the manager for special programs and physical security where he investigated and resolved high priority fraud, theft and harassment cases. He successfully countered industrial espionage and competitive intelligence attacks by a foreign government and domestic competitors. As the result of Dan’s particular approach to security, he has earned the highest respect and support of Textron/IST’s technical and management teams.
